The short version
- Money Neighbor explains retirement income. If it’s a fit and you want to, we introduce you to one licensed specialist. We don’t sell insurance or give advice.
- We are not affiliated with Social Security, Medicare or any government agency.
- Income Check numbers are estimates for education, not quotes or promises.
- Specialists are independent and may pay us for introductions. You never pay us, and you’re never required to buy anything.
- Advisors buy appointments under a separate written agreement, and we don’t guarantee sales or commissions.
What Money Neighbor is
Money Neighbor is an educational resource and matching service. We are not an insurance company, insurance agency, broker-dealer or investment adviser. We do not sell insurance or securities, and we do not give financial, tax or legal advice. Nothing on this site is a recommendation to buy or sell any product.
Money Neighbor is not affiliated with Social Security, Medicare or any government agency, and the Income Check is not a government service.
Income Check results are estimates
The Income Check gives hypothetical estimates for education only. They are not quotes, offers or recommendations, and they are not guaranteed. Actual income from any product depends on the product, the issuing company, your age and health, current rates and other factors. Guarantees in annuity products are backed by the financial strength and claims-paying ability of the issuing insurance company. Lifetime income usually means less access to that money and less left to heirs.
Specialists
After a call with our team, if it’s a fit and you want to, we introduce you to one licensed insurance professional or financial advisor in your state. Specialists are independent. They are not our employees or agents, and we are not responsible for their advice or for any product you choose to buy. Any recommendation is theirs, and the decision is always yours.
Specialists may pay us a fee for introductions and appointments. You never pay Money Neighbor, and you are never required to buy anything. Here’s exactly how we make money.
Booking a call
When you book a Retirement Income Review, you pick a time from our calendar, and our team calls you then by phone. The call is free and educational. If you’d like to change or cancel it, reply to your confirmation or email us. We may need to reschedule now and then, and we’ll tell you as soon as we can.
If a call is recorded, we tell you at the start, and you can ask us not to record it.
Calls and texts
By checking the consent box on the Income Check, you agree that Money Neighbor and one licensed insurance professional in your state may call and text you at the number you give us about retirement income, including by automated means. The box says exactly what you agree to. Consent is not required to buy anything. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to any text to opt out. Our privacy policy explains how we handle your information.
For advisors
Money Neighbor for Advisors is a marketing and appointment service for licensed insurance producers and financial advisors.
- Applying is free and doesn’t commit you to anything. We may decline any application, and we may ask to see proof of licensing.
- The Advisor Growth Diagnostic is a free Zoom call to see whether we’re a fit. It is not a purchase or an agreement.
- Buying appointments happens only under a separate written agreement, which sets the price, what counts as a qualified appointment, how no-shows are handled, and how billing works. If that agreement and these terms ever disagree, the agreement wins.
- No guarantees. We don’t guarantee any number of appointments, sales or commissions.
- Your responsibilities. You are responsible for your own licensing, appointments with carriers, suitability and best-interest obligations, and compliance with insurance and securities rules, including how you contact the retirees we introduce.
